Regarding hazardous substances, organochlorines from agricultural origins (e.g. dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT)), from industrial sources (e.g. polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)), and from oil-related sources (e.g. total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH)) are considered as the main pollution sources in the Hormozgan coastal area.
In the Hormozgan coastal area, point sources and non-point sources can be roughly classified as shown in Table 4.4.3.

Oil refineries, power plants, and metal factories account for most industrial sectors in the coastal area of Hormozgan Province.
Through the existing information collection of the subcontract survey of the Project, major industrial areas in the Hormozgan coastal area are listed in Table 4.4.4.
